The product aims to reduce the dependency on foreign OS in smartphones and promote the use of locally developed technology.
BharOS comes with no default apps (NDA). This means that it does not have any pre-downloaded apps. Users can download the apps they want to use. That is, you will be allowed to have more control over the permissions that apps have on your device. This is because you will only be able to download apps that you trust for certain features or data access on your device. The OS provides access to trusted apps from organization-specific Private App Store Service (PASS). PASS gives access to a curated list of apps that meet security and privacy standards.

How BharOS is Different from Android and Apple iOS ?
BharOS is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), which makes it somewhat similar to Google’s Android operating system. The major difference between Android and BharOS is that there are no pre-installed apps. This gives users the facility to download any app of their choice.
BharOS users can download APK files, which can be found on the Internet, of the apps they want to use.
